After a very shaky and unconvincing start, Chelsea edge past Wrexham to make the next round of the FA cup.

An unconvincing performance overall but the main thing is we are through!

Sanchez- 5.5

Looked incredibly shaky for most the game especially with crosses into the box. Perhaps could have done better for the Wrexham goal. Seemed like he was too far off his line.

Acheampong – 5

Looked extremely uncomfortable playing as the right way back as he didn’t know when to make the overlapping runs but also he was getting ignored quite a lot.

Tosin (c) – 4

As a captain, you expect a bit of leadership, but this is not the case. Ultimately played a part in the Wrexham goal and looked incredibly un-convincing once again.

Badiashile – 5.5

Definitely dealt with aerial threats a bit better and short passing was better. Ultimately though, this might be his level

Sarr- 6.5

Arguably, the best out of the three playing at Centre back. Looks comfortable defending wide areas and his short passing was good.

Hato- 5.5

Tried to provide width but Garnacho was taking up his spaces. Which often meant it was predictable of Hato’s movement.

Lavia- 5.5

Still looks rusty despite coming back from injury. This definitely isn’t the best Lavia we have seen but looks slightly off it in times of physicality

Santos- 6.5

Slightly better than Lavia with enhanced physicality and better passing overall. Definitely go into the game more and more as the halves went on.

Neto- 5

His take on weren’t that great once again and often slow slowed up attacks. However, did put one across into the box that Garnacho should’ve hit the target.

Garnacho – 7.5 (MOTM)

Didn’t really impact the game to be honest for most of it but was heavily involved for their own goal to get us back into the game. He looked a bit more lively as the half was drawing to a close. Took his goal very well and drew the foul for the wrexham red card.

Delap- 5

Again, bang average and his hold up play for most of the game was bad again. However, without his contribution for the first goal we would’ve gone in at halftime one nil down still.

Rosenior: 5.5

Very strange to play three Centre Baks against the championship team where we know that they won’t have much of the ball.

Struggled to come up with a solution to deal with the physicality of Wrexham and had to make changes to influence the game

Substitutes:

Guiu: 2

Very minimal impact struggled to hold up play and also Link play. It was a liability if anything to Wrexham attacks.

Cucurella: 6

Solidified and stabilised our left hand side and minimal threat was reduced in that game.

Essugo: 4.5

Extremely loose in his passing and looks slower compared to normal. But thats just the long term injury playing a part. Did get an assist from a good cross, though.

Joao Pedro: 6

Hold up play and touch was sharp and seems like Pedro’s been replicating his form even when hes come off the bench. Great goal.

Gusto: 5

Far more overlapping and kept the ball ticking down the wing to ensure the right wing flow was there
