Chelsea have made it clear they have no intention of parting ways with head coach Liam Rosenior, despite a troubling run of form that has left supporters frustrated and questioning the club’s direction.
Rosenior has suffered four consecutive defeats, conceding 12 goals in that stretch, yet retains the full backing of the Stamford Bridge hierarchy. The Blues’ ownership group, BlueCo, appear unmoved by the pressure building around the manager.
Rosenior arrived at Stamford Bridge in January from sister-club Strasbourg , stepping into a difficult situation mid-season.
The BBC has claimed that Chelsea are not preparing to sack Rosenior either now or at the end of the season, with the hierarchy believing he took over earlier than planned and are ready to back him.
Sources indicate that the club do not intend to carry out a formal performance review of Rosenior before the summer of 2027, and he signed a contract running until 2032.
Transfer business this summer will be key. Chelsea are targeting reinforcements at centre-back, in midfield and in attack, with the focus already shifting toward a crucial summer window.
Chelsea still sit just a point off fifth place, with Champions League qualification still within reach, and an FA Cup quarter-final tie against Port Vale also on the horizon. Rosenior’s job is safe — for now — but he knows results must improve.
