Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.

Hato’s finer contract details are unclear but Chelsea are making a move and want to sign the defender to back up Marc Cucurella and also offer cover at centre back.

Ajax and Chelsea are said to have good relations and there could be more discussions around younger players going on loan to the Dutch club.

There is a gap in valuation but Hato has asked to leave as soon as possible and wants to join Chelsea.
