Andrey Santos attracting interest from top European Clubs

The future of Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has certainly dominated the online sphere over the recent days.

Santos, who had a very good loan spell at sister club Strasbourg last season, has been the subject of interest from many top clubs, according to Nizaar Kinsella from BBC Sport.

One of those is Bayern Munich and, these clubs are thought to be keeping a close eye on his situation given the fact he has only played 30 minutes in the opening three Club World Cup matches.

Chelsea hold the ‘we would like to keep’ position, but whether or not the player see’s a consistent pathway into the side with Lavia, Fernandez and Caicedo ahead of him remains unclear.

Fans online are worried that they might lose out on a potential future superstar who at 21, became Strasbourg captain towards the back end of the season.

Santos can play as a defensive midfield or box to box and contribute to 13 goals in 32 league matches last season in France, with stellar performances against PSG and Lyon, too.
